WHAT’S ON IN HUNTINGDON AND ST IVES THIS WEEKEND 

September is here and the nights start to draw in but that doesn't mean your local area is slowing down their events. There is lots going on this weekend, from St Ives Illuminated Boat Parade to an Animal Fun Day at Wood Green Animal Shelter. 

Friday 1st September. 

End your week by enjoying a relaxing cup of coffee at The A14 Networking at The Taproom, St Ives, and meet other local businesses.

After networking pop over to St Ives Corn Exchange, for the Country Marketfor a range of homemade, home grown local produce.

The Dreamboys return to The Burgess Hall after their sell-out show earlier this year. Grab the girls for a great girls’ night out and watch their brand new show. 

Saturday 2nd September.

Visit Huntingdon town for their bi-weekly market, or join St Ives Town for their Farmers Market and pick up some great local produce.

Car Boots today are at Huntingdon Racesource, or St Neots Common. 

Generation Dance Academy is hosting an Open Day for your chance to try some taster classes, watch some demonstrations, join in with make-up tutorials and much more. This is your chance to find out what GDA are all about. 

Learn how to make your own trug basket at Wicken Fen Nature Reserve with their Basket Making Workshop. Taught by Nadine Anderson, you will make a great basket perfect for carrying or storing flowers, fruit and veg or whatever your heart desires. 

The Burgess Hall are holding their ever popular Boogies Nights. Dig out those dancing shoes and dance the night away to the biggest tracks from 70’s to now.

St Ives Illuminated Boat Parade is back. Watch from The Quay from 8.30pm to see all the creative and beautiful boats light up the river. 

Sunday 3rd September. 

You can visit Car Boot Sales today at Huntingdon Racecourse, Skylark Garden Centre and Crystal Lakes.

Join Wood Green Animal Shelter – Godmanchester for their Animal Fun Day. There will be set animal feeding times throughout the day, children’s activities, fun dog show and much, much more. Admission fee is just £2 per adults and children are free. A great day for all of the family.
