WHAT’S ON IN HUNTINGDON AND ST IVES THIS WEEKEND 

If you are a music lover then this is the weekend for you with a great range of musical concerts spread out all over the weekend.

Weekend Long Events


Fringe in the Fen – Join in with this fantastic 4 day event in the village of Fenstanton, in celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the village’s most famous resident, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. With events running from Thursday 7th July to Sunday 10th July, ending with the Proms in the Park concert.

Hopefully the weather stays dry for this family friendly event that has been long awaited. St Ives Carnival and Music Fair starts on Saturday 9th July and continues onto Sunday 10th July. Saturday sees the parade of floats all dressed up traveling through St Ives finishing off at Hill Rise Park, with a fun fair, stalls and refreshments. Staying on Hill Rise Park, the fun fair continues and is joined by a range of local musical talent, on Sunday.

Following on from last week The George Hotel presents ‘The Tempest for the last two nights, Friday and Saturday. This is your last chance so don’t miss out. 

 

Along with all of the weekend long events there are lots of great 1 day events taking place, so go and support your local community. 


Friday 8th July.

End your week by enjoying a relaxing cup of coffee at The A14 Networking at The Taproom, St Ives, and meet other local businesses.

After networking pop over to St Ives Corn Exchange, for the Country Marketfor a range of homemade, home grown local produce.

St Ives Corn Exchange is the venue for the ever popular ‘Friday Night is Dance Night’ hosted by ‘Steps in Time’. Find your dancing shoes for a night of modern ballroom and Latin American dancing.

Join Slepe Hall, St Ives as they host ‘Dallaglio Cycle Slam Charity Ball’. With an evening of musical entertainment and a 3 course meal, there is no better way to raise money for charity

 

 Saturday 9th July.

Visit Huntingdon town for their bi-weekly market,  St Ives Town for their Farmers Market. Car Boots today are at Huntingdon Racesource, or St Neots Common. 

Join Huntingdonshire Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra as they present A Night at The Opera’. With musical favourites from well-loved operas. 


Sunday 10th July.

You can visit Car Boot Sales today at Huntingdon Racecourse, Skylark Garden Centre and Crystal Lakes.

The musical theme continues today with a fantastic performance from St Neots and Huntingdon’s Rock Choir, as they perform their Summer Show 2016. With an uplifting performance of a range of rock songs.
