Over 300 runners have already entered for this year’s race and they come from all points of the UK – Bristol, Scarborough, Brighton and 120 from Hitchin itself. Strangely none from Scotland this year! But we do have one from New York and ex Para-Olympian Louise Simpson is entering the 10K this year. She did the half last year.
The Hitchin British Schools Trust has ambitious plans to secure the future of the British Schools Museum focussing initially on the development of the Grade 2 listed Girls’ and Infants’ School site with the aid of a substantial Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) grant. HBST has parallel plans to transform the Grade 2* Boys’ School through a major building project and alternative fundraising initiatives.
The Herts Air Ambulance Team and Team Kinetix will be coming to Hitchin on Saturday 28th March for the very first Herts Air Ambulance Acrobatic Day bringing an exciting mix of acrobatic stunt displays!
Letchworth Garden Shopping Centre has offered Garden House full use and ALL income from its Christmas Grotto this year, at NO cost to the hospice. The only condition is that we must fully staff the grotto during all the sessions it is open!
Think before you throw things away. Can a family in need put them to good use? Ask Hitchin Volunteer Army and see if they can put the item to good use.
