After two visits to the WIBN Hitchin I decided to join and I do not regret it. I have recently started a new business and it has been a great place to share my business but more then that it has been a great place to meet like minded woman, who support each other. Louise who runs the WIBN Hitchin group, is great at keeping the meetings focused, but also interesting and we have lots of fun. I would highly recommend that any women in business attend for a visit and see just how good it is to have an opportunity to talk and share ideas, In a friendly environment but that is also serious about business and helping your business grow and develop.

Wow! What a fabulous event! Speed Networking - it was exhausting but great fun! A perfect chance to have a glass of wine, some nibbles and then meet lots of likeminded keen business associates. Some great contacts made. Many thanks to a really well organised event as always Mr & Mrs Yexley!

Hi Lousie, thanks for a great networking event held at the Priory! It was my first time and I really found it useful, met some great people within great businesses. I found the hour of the speed networking to be really beneficial and having the opportunity to meet some really useful contacts. I wish there had been more time to have continued the speed networking as we were probably only able to meet with 50% of the attendees. Maybe if the initial arrival time was made a little shorter and then the speed networking time increased with maybe a short break in between we would have met with more people. I would definately recommend you!

Thanks Anita, it was lovely to see you there and I'm glad you met some new people. Hope your throat feels better today!
I attended WIBN at Letchworth with a colleague as we are holding an Inspirational Women event at our academy to raise the aspirations of our young ladies. We have received an over whelming response from WIBN all over Hertfordshire, offering their help and support for our event. We have been treated with kindness and enthusiasm beyond our wildest dreams. We are confident our event will be a success, but we could not have done it without the support of WIBN, thank you, Laura Dowle & Caroline Tyrwhitt

Thank you Laura for the testimonial. I am pleased that so many of our members are coming along to your event in May to talk to your students about the variety of roles that are available to young women. Lovely to have met you.
Last week I visited the Luton WIBN and it was great!

The group who meet monthly, clearly have a passion for their businesses, demonstrating this by their focus, dedication and enthusiasm for what they each do. The group encourages, assist and nurtures one another, which is often vital if you are a sole trader, new to the world of business or simply work better with a network around you.

The group also has a focus on 'shopping locally' by generating leads for each other, working together and assisting in each other's business development. Wonderful.and refreshing!

If you are new to business or established but would like to keep on learning about new practices, ideas or just want to 'chew the cud' about your business world, then I would definitely recommend that you get in touch and go along.

I just wanted to thank you very much for inviting me to your meeting today. I was very impressed with the members' enthusiasm for the group and with how useful they obviously found it. It was interesting to see such a diverse range of specialisms and professions represented too. I found everyone very supportive and welcoming.

I have just left the WIBN in Hitchin where I attended as a Guest member and wanted to say thank you.
The group were just lovely, so welcoming and from such a diverse array of businesses.
I was looking for an arena of like minded women as I am completely surrounded by men in my profession and needed a forum just like the Hitchin WIBN.

Thank you again for promoting such an inspiring group.

I was delighted to attend the WIBN Summer Meeting at Hitchin Priory on Tuesday as a visitor. The event was held in beautiful surroundings, with a warm welcome and was attended by over 70 women members and visitors. There was an excellent mix of guests on each table, with each delegate being given 45 seconds to introduce themselves and their company. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the opportunity to network over lunch, take advantage of the promotional offers available and in my case to win a raffle prize! An excellent introduction to the WIBN concept.’

“The event which brought all the women in Beds and Herts together at The Priory this week, was fantastic!
It was well organised, elegant and professional – just like the women who are members of the WIBN networking group.
The food was good, superb 40s singer performing for us, and we all had a chance to speak about our businesses to the entire group of about 100 members present. The venue was wonderful, a huge marquee in the grounds of The Priory Conference Centre.
Some great business was done and everyone was keen to mingle and talk about what they could do to help each other – a really great event, thank you Louise.

WIBN is brilliant - it is a great place to do business because the atmosphere is friendly but still focussed on our businesses. I have always found everyone there to be genuinely interested in helping each other in business, and really willing to share their contacts with other members. Definitely worth a visit for any local business woman!

Reply from Keith & Louise Yexley:
Thank you Hilary. We try to make our networking events as relaxed as possible as we find that people build better relationships with each other and can then decide whether they can do business with each other.
I have been a member of the WIBN for around 6 months and I have gain a great deal out of attending our monthly meetings. The support and knowledge from likeminded business women is great. We recently had a joint meeting with two other local groups and I picked up some great leads converted them to business and my membership has now paid for itself. I would highly recommend the women in business network. NPA Brokers
