The Village Hall has been a feature of Sands since 1920 and was set up by a group of villagers who had been given a plot of land by Sir John Lindsay Dashwood.
Nowadays the Hall is available for hire at reasonable rates for both regular activities and one-off social functions. The Village Hall consists of a large main meeting/activities hall, a stage, a kitchen with facilities for food preparation and an adjoining smaller meeting room which is available for hire additionally or separately. There is a car park at the rear of the hall with spaces for 20 cars and disabled access at the side.
