This course will not only provide you with an introduction to counselling and listening skills, it will also increase your understanding of yourself and others.

Riverside Counselling Service will again be offering its 10-week Introduction to Counselling and Interpersonal Skills course running from 11th January to 22nd March 2018, with a break for half term. The course will be held on Thursdays from 10am – 12 pm at the Christ Church Centre in Henley-on-Thames.

Over the 10 weeks you will not only learn about counselling, but also discover more about yourself and others and how to improve your work and personal relationships. It is suitable if you are considering training as a counsellor, if you would like to improve your interpersonal skills in the workplace, if you would like greater insight into yourself and those around you or if you are simply interested in what counselling has to offer.

Those working in education, human resources, the law, medicine and many other areas where human interaction is so important would all benefit. Counselling skills serve to enhance both your personal and professional life.

The course tutor is Teresa Johnstone, an experienced psychodynamic therapist and supervisor. She has a private practice in Hurst and taught for four years on the Counselling training courses at Birkbeck College, University of London. The cost for the 10-week course is £210.
