An Oxfordshire care home is inviting the local community to their very own colour and culture fashion show.
On Friday 18th September at 2pm, Care UK’s Huntercombe Hall, on Huntercombe Place, will be opening their doors and rolling the red carpet out for a fashion show designed to showcase outfits inspired by cultures around the world.
Residents and guests will have the opportunity to take to the runway and strut their stuff in an expression of their individuality and love for fashion. The fashion show aims to also highlight the diverse heritages and traditions that make up the home and local community.
On the day, guests will be able to enjoy refreshments, including a Victorian afternoon tea and delicious cupcakes specially prepared by the home’s head chef. To round off the event, fashion show participants will have the chance to win a range of fun awards, including Best Catwalk, Best Model and Audience Favourite.
Catia Pereira, Home Manager at Huntercombe Hall, said: “We’re so excited to be opening our doors and welcoming the local community to join us for our very first fashion show.
“Bringing people together is at the heart of what we do here at Huntercombe Hall, and what better way to celebrate that spirit than with an afternoon of celebrating the diverse cultures at the home.
“We can’t wait to see the people of Henley-On-Thames strut their stuff and come together for a day full of laughter and joy!”
Set in a charming Victorian Manor House, Huntercombe Hall is a care home that provides residential and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis. Designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilling lives, the care home also offers its very own library and hair salon, as well as plenty of space for relaxation and recreation.
