The Henley Symphony Orchestra - one of the leading amateur orchestras in the UK.

The Henley Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1970 and is now one of the leading amateur orchestras in the country, attracting over 70 players from Henley and the surrounding area.

Under the guidance of its distinguished musical director, Ian Brown, the HSO promotes an annual series of four concerts at local venues in November, March and June as well as the very popular Christmas Concert at Christchurch, Henley. The HSO engages internationally acclaimed soloists, providing high-quality classical music making for the enjoyment of local concert goers.

Orchestra members range from 17 – 70+ and rehearsals are held weekly on Thursday evenings at Henley College. For further information about concerts and membership please contact the Secretary at maureenhsosec@aol.com
