Jaynic, the developer of Haverhill Research Park has awarded a £400.000 construction contract to local builder KT Construction to build the new Colourbox Montessori nursery school on the park and work has started on site this week.

The nursery, designed by architects Frank Shaw Associates,  which is to be located close to the front of the site on the main estate road, Three Counties Way, will provide full and part time education and care for children from three months to five years old.

The contract should be completed in early August allowing the nursery to open in September for the beginning of the academic year. The facilities will include an outdoor play area and there will also be parking for 16 cars.

Park manager, Helen Chaplin, says: “This is another vital step towards providing Haverhill with a mixed use employment zone that will also provide homes, a restaurant and now nursery care.”

Susie Norman, the owner of the Montessori Colourbox nursery added: “We are thrilled not only to be part of this exciting new project in Haverhill but also to be working in partnership with the town’s Samuel Ward Trust.” Parents interested in placing their children at the school should email info@colourboxmontessori.co.uk
