Members of the Cambridge Cleantech Building Technologies Special Interest Group were given the opportunity to pitch cleantech products and services to the developers of the Haverhill Research Park at a morning seminar on Wednesday 14th May, 2014.
The seminar held at Days Inn Hotel in Haverhill was organised to take advantage of the pending development of the first building on the site, The Epicentre, the 30,000 sq ft innovation centre that is due to be granted planning consent within the next month and completed during 2015.
Nic Rumsey of Carisbrooke, the developer of Haverhill Research Park, said: “This is a good example of local businesses networking with each other. The park is moving into full scale marketing and our new innovation centre should be ready for occupation within 12 months. Cleantech’s members have a variety of products and services to sell which our development team was interested to know about and we hope to do business with some of them in the near future,” he added.
Martin Garratt, CEO of Cambridge Cleantech added: "we are delighted to be working with Haverhill Research Park who are one of our Associate Founders and who have a far sighted approach to ensuring that their developments incorporate the latest cleantech innovations. The event provided an opportunity for 30 companies to promote their world class products and events such as this provide a win for both the local economy and the environment.”
