Bookkeeping and Payroll Assistant - Bexhill Office

Bookkeeping and Payroll Assistant, to be based in our Bexhill office. Whilst previous experience would be beneficial, it is not required, as you will be trained on the job. There is flexibility over the number of hours available so both full and part time applications will be considered.

Main Duties 

 

Bookkeeping 

  • Processing of invoices
  • Bank and ledger reconciliations
  • General ledger work

Payroll

 

  • Running the monthly payroll for multiple clients
  • Deducting tax and national insurance payments, and calculating net pay
  • Processing holiday, sick and maternity pay
  • Submitting relevant forms to HMRC prior to the deadline
  • Answering queries
  • Issuing P45s and other tax forms
  • Ensuring compliance with work place pension and auto-enrolment duties
  • Preparation and submission of CIS returns

 

 

Accounts Assistant - Bexhill Office

Accounts Assistant, to be based in our Bexhill office. No previous experience necessary, as you will be trained on the job. We would prefer a full time candidate, but may also consider part time applications. Upon successful completion of a probationary period, the position could become a trainee accountant role for the right candidate.

Main duties

  • Preparation of sole trade, partnership and company accounts from client records
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation of tax computations
  • Preparation and submission of company tax returns

 

Accounts Senior - Rye Office

A qualified ACA or ACCA seeking public practice career development for our expanding office in Rye. We will consider a qualified AAT with a minimum of 5 years practice experience. The role will include preparing SME accounts and tax computations and dealing with other tax and compliance issues, work on private client files and providing support and compliance services for self employed and partnership clients. The role will also include the supervision and training of junior staff and the delegation and review of work, as well as assisting in preparing tax advice and planning.

 Main duties

  •  Preparation of sole trade, partnership and company accounts from client records
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation of tax computations
  • Preparation and submission of company tax returns

 

Accounts / Audit Senior - Tenterden Office

A recently qualified ACA/ACCA/AAT audit senior with up to five years post qualification experience for our Tenterden office.

Main duties

  • Planning, field work, managing a team and completion of an audit
  • competent in dealing with clients and visiting their premises
  • auditing small companies to those with turnover of up to £40 million
  • auditing and independently examining charities
  • reporting under the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules
  • technically up to date, specifically with FRS102 and charity SORP
  • preparation / review of accounts for audit exempt companies
  • preparation / review of sole trader and partnership accounts
  • preparation of accounts for GP's
  • preparation of accounts for specialist industries
  • personal and corporation tax
  • training and supervising members of our team
  • computer literate with good knowledge of various accountancy software packages.
