On Saturday 17th October from 2.30pm–4.30pm, Care UK’s Buchanan Court will open its Sudbury Hill doors to families, friends and neighbours for a murder mystery eventto reignite the magic of games nights this autumn.
Throughout the afternoon, residents and guestscan test out their detective skills and get to the bottom of which team member is the murderer. There will also be snacks and refreshments such as canapés and finger foods with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages provided.
The event is part of Care UK’s ‘Bored Games’ initiative – a nationwide campaign intended to revive the magic of family and community games nights.At a time when social media and online gaming have transformed how people spend their leisure time, the initiative is celebrating the simple joys of spending time together playing traditional board games and the memories they can create.
From community events to intergenerational activities, care homes across the UK arechampioning togetherness and reconnecting residents with activities that shaped their younger years.
