Opening the Gigs at Gaia series in St Wilfrid’s Church, Orchestra for the Earth bring a programme packed with classical, nature themed favourites including Mendelssohn’s ‘Hebrides’ Overture and Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending.

Orchestra for the Earth was established in England in 2018 with the mission of promoting the importance of caring for and protecting our planet. John Warner, the founder and current artistic director, is an emerging talent in the world of conducting. He serves as the Conductor in Residence with Oxford Opera and has conducted some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic. The orchestra's repertoire often reflects themes of nature and the environment. Their evening concert in Harrogate will take us on a musical journey through light, shadow, and open sky!
