A majestic Maytime journey through an ancient woodland alive with Fairyfolk and folklore at Mother Shipton’s Cave.
From the Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June, follow the flutter of wings and the glimmer of fairy dust into a magical realm where Fairyfolk roam free! Inspired by ancient folklore, fairytales, and the beauty of springtime traditions, this enchanting event invites visitors of all ages to explore a woodland bursting with wonder.
Come dressed up as a fairy, goblin, sprite, or hobbit and embark on a mystical quest through themed displays and hidden fairy dens.
Keep your eyes peeled for the mischievous woodland sprite and the regal Queen of the Fairies, who may just grant you a wish!
Enjoy magical photo opportunities and share your fairy tale snaps using #mothershiptons for a chance to win free tickets!
After your adventure, you can visit our vintage-style kiosks offering delicious treats, hot drinks, and sweet delights. Little fairies can play in our Adventure Playground (weather permitting), and don’t forget to stop by our fairytale Gift Shop to take a piece of the magic home.

Our Fairyfolk event is perfect for little ones and big fairies who love a glimmer of enchantment too! Even four-legged friends are welcome (on a lead) for the adventure - just not in the playground or shop.
