Opening the evening with a vibrant, rhythm‑driven celebration of American folk colour and the irresistible pull of the dance, Jessie Montgomery’s Strum is a piece that radiates energy, setting the stage beautifully for what follows. From there, join Tom Poster for the elegance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major. Graceful, witty and full of luminous charm, it’s a work that seems to smile from within. The performance culminates in Mozart’s mighty Jupiter Symphony, presented from memory – a hallmark of Aurora’s bold, immersive approach. Bursting with invention, grandeur and sheer symphonic brilliance, it’s a piece so overflowing with ideas that Mozart seems almost to race himself to the finish.
The evening will conclude with something special as Aurora weave their own unique magic throughout the Royal Hall with an immersive encore.
