Businesses based in Wetherby's Thorp Arch Estate will soon benefit from access to broadband speeds of up to 90Mbps, according to York Data Services.
The owner of the commercial estate invested £50,000 into a new fibre-to-the-cabinet network which will be installed by York Data Services.
The service provider has claimed that businesses at Thorp Arch can now expert to receive some of the fastest internet speeds in the UK. This is due to the close proximity of the final copper delivery to the fibre-optic cable.
Thorp Arch Estate is easily accessible from Leeds and York, offering more than two million sq ft of commercial space as well as a popular retail park. The estate is currently home to 140 businesses and the retail park features a number of high profile stores such as DFS and United Carpets.
Wharfedale Property Management, which manages the estate, commented that it was pleased to bring affordable super-fast broadband to tenants".
Director Tim Munns added: "We are sure that this will become another significant attraction for business start-ups and enterprises seeking to relocate to become part of a well-established commercial community."
