A big thank you to Darren Roberts and the other organisers,staff and pupils of St John Fisher School, Harrogate for staging the successful Arts day which saw lots of local people attend the school and be entertained by African drumming from Fishers Arts,the SJF Junior Jazz Group,the SJF Dance Performance Group, the SJF Steel Pans Band,the SJF Jazz Orchestra,the SJF Junior Band and the SJF Junior and Sixth Form Choir and several other groups.
There were also many interesting promotions and demonstrations from local groups and organisations and everyone who attended enjoyed the day.
The Bestof Harrogate had an exhibition stall and we ran a prize draw for a food and drink hamper. My thanks go to Weetons,Quality Health Foods and Betty's for kindly donating some splendid items for the hamper.
The draw took place on Sunday and the winner of the hamper is.........................Jean Key of Harrogate.
