Wetherby Racecourse is now in its 121st year, after being established on the current site in 1891 Wetherby has lead the field in Hunt Racing. It is home to some of the most competitive races staged during the jumps racing calendar, racing from mid-October to early June.

Racing in Wetherby originally took place on Scaur Bank (now known as King George V playing fields) but was moved to the current site in 1891 and enjoyed great development up until the 1970s. The latest addition was the Millennium Stand which was opened in 1999, providing the course with executive banquet and conference facilities. This makes the ideal location for you to enjoy a great day/night at the races.

December's Castleford Chase provides one of the biggest spectacles at Wetherby, a race steeped in history, one time winning trainer Paul Nicholls won this year's Grand National and just last year Wetherby celebrated its first ever winning female jockey, Lucy Alexander.

If you fancy a day at the races don't hesitate to visit Wetherby Racecourse this racing season. Whether you're on a family day out, a trip with friends or even have clients to entertain Wetherby has something for you.
