Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre have a lot to offer including a fully licensed café, woodland walk, children’s play area and shop (selling original artwork & plants). It’s open weekdays & Sundays.
Henshaws Society for Blind People have centres and communities in Manchester, Merseyside, Harrogate, Knaresborough & Newcastle and have been going for over 175 years!
If you have an event coming up, why not contact Henshaws? They do room hire, outdoor & indoor staging, they have a fitness area, and much more – they take bookings for birthday parties, meetings, music events & weddings as well as other events!
There are several events happening all the time at Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre from art exhibitions, live music, theatre events, activities for families with children to activities for adults with visual impairment and learning disabilities. It’s a great venue for the community, supporting several local artists.

9 July & 13 Aug – Disco Fever – Monthly disco & film night for anyone aged 18+ with a learning disability

31 July & 28 Aug – The Friday Night Mix – on the last Fri of each month, a whole evening of live music from local artists – FREE entry! Licensed bar
2 Aug – Fairy Day – magical fun & frolics for children and the your at heart £10 for children, adults go free – Booking essential!
