Care UK’s Farm Lane is opening its doors to families and neighbours for a food festival this August, inviting guests to tuck in and celebrate the nation’s shared love of great cuisine, community and connection.
On Friday 7th August from 2pm–3.30pm, guests are invited to celebrate the flavours and traditions that make dining so special in the care home, enjoying delicious food and seasonal favouritesfrom Indian, Chinese, and Caribbean cuisines, among others, and family friendly entertainment such as karaoke and music.
This event is part of the ‘A Taste of Home’ initiative, which will see Care UK homes across the country host foodie-themed celebrations and showcase what life in a care home is really like.
Each festival will offer sustainable, community-focused initiatives while celebrating the diversity and creativity within the homes, from residents’ favourite recipes and traditional dishes to seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients.
