The Duke of Northumberland has given us exclusive use of the beautiful Park Lake for the day, set within peaceful woodland, making it a wonderful place to spend a day fishing, relaxing and enjoying good company. Both beginners and experienced fishermen are welcome, with tuition and tackle available for any who need it. The day includes full hospitality starting with a hearty cooked breakfast, a delicious lunch with wine, beer and soft drinks, and home-made cakes for afternoon tea. There will be plenty of time to fish, catch up with friends, family, or simply enjoy a peaceful day by the water. Children 10 and over are very welcome, as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.
Numbers are limited to ensure everyone has plenty of space around the lake, so do book your tickets as soon as possible!
Your Ticket Options:
Full Day (9.30am to dusk) includes breakfast, coffee & home-made cakes, lunch with wine and beer, and afternoon tea. All drinks available throughout.
Half Day (Morning or Afternoon) includes either breakfast and lunch or lunch and afternoon tea. All drinks available throughout.
When you attend our fishing day you are directly contributing to life-saving aid for children and their families across Darfur, who are still struggling to survive every day. Sudan is the world’s biggest hunger crisis today, with more children suffering acute malnutrition than anywhere in the world. Drought and conflict continue, and children need our help now. Kids Kitchen Kits of emergency food, Seeds to plant for next year’s harvest, Clean Water through crucial handpump repairs and Goats for milk are only some of the aid items we are able to provide with your help.
We look forward to fishing with you! Tickets are available on our website here: https://kidsforkids.org.uk/event/fishing26/
Notes:
A valid fishing licence must be secured through the UK Government website in advance of the event, which only takes a few minutes. The first fish you catch will be yours to keep! There will be a small charge for any additional fish you wish to take home. Sunglasses or glasses and brimmed hats or caps must be worn by everyone. Health and safety are our first concern but you are advised that you fish at your own risk.
