In this one-day creative writing masterclass with author and poet Anna Brook, you’ll take inspiration from the life and works of artist Mary Seton Watts, nurturing your own creative practice through guided writing exercises.
Drawing on Mary’s ceramic work, painting and diaries, and the work of her contemporaries, we will explore a range of creative writing techniques, from prompts to cut-up poetry. Through experimenting with writing, you will develop a deeper engagement with artworks and landscapes across the Watts Gallery, alongside nurturing your own unique writing voice.
Suitable for all levels. Anna thoughtfully designs creative writing exercises that make writing enjoyable, accessible and rewarding, whether you are new to creative writing or you are looking to reinvigorate your writing practice.
This special day includes admission to the gallery and a delicious lunch.
