Les Cotils is my favourite location on the Island of Guernsey. Whilst it may have been considered less modern than many hotels, I haven’t stayed in any hotel on Island with better amenities, better views and most of all better friendly service from all the staff.
I travel regularly to Guernsey and now consider this hotel my home from home. The food is amazing too. I think this is a bit of a secret jewel, that needs to be uncovered. Mindful that I might not get accommodation when I need it, but this review is so well deserved. Fiona and all the team at Les Cotils are amazing! If you like to feel spoilt, Les Cotils is the place to be!

Overnight stop over after cancelled flight
Comfortable rooms, at very reasonable rates staff could not have been more helpful , keeping restaurant open, providing toothbrushes even driving us back to the airport to catch 7am flight

This is very close to where we live and in the past few years we have seen how good it has become. The food and service are excellent and the staff are so friendly.

A delicious Sunday Lunch
One helps oneself for every course which is so sensensible especially when one is elderlyThe Starters were interesting and delicious
The Mains were Roast Beef and Roast Pork and there was a tasty plate of Salmon and Oriental Noodles and there was A Vegitarian PieAll Puddings were right up my street
We received A Very Warm Welcome From The Manager

Called in on a sunny afternoon for tea and cake. Very friendly welcome in the Coffee Shop housed in a large bright conservatory and outside on the adjoining terrace overlooking St Peter Port. Good choice of cakes and all reasonably priced. Only slight negative was the background pop music which was rather intrusive and didn't seem to fit with the tranquil setting, but enjoyed our visit nonetheless. Next time we visit Guernsey we'll try lunch as the menu looked good value.

First time visiting Les Cotils, I was impressed by the size of their premises. I noticed that they had different meeting rooms available such as the Sark room, and I was told they have a Guernsey Room and Herm room. I must say, I thought that was a nice touch.
Our room was the Carol Hindes Room and it was set up wonderfully. Food came in a timely order and flavour wise, they did brilliantly! I especially enjoyed my main, which was cod. (That sauce with it, really hit the spot!). Naturally, I choose to have dessert as well. I opted for the cheesecake with berries and that was equally delicious.
Many thanks and well done, Les Cotils and staff members!

I stayed at Les Cotils for 3 nights on business. The hotel used to be a convent, but has been nicely converted to its current use. There’s plenty of parking if you arrive by car.
There was a friendly greeting at reception, and I was shown to my room quickly. The room was simply but comfortably furnished, and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable. My room had a shower rather than a bath, which suited me perfectly.
I had dinner on 2 evenings. The menu changes daily in the restaurant, which has superb views over the grounds and beyond to the sea. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food I had was of excellent quality; local crab and lobster soup, fresh sea bass, for example, and a really good salad of figs, feta cheese and raspberries. Portion size was just right. There’s a bar with a good selection of drinks. Food and drink is reasonably priced.
Breakfast is the usual buffet arrangement. Worthy of note is the rotary toaster that actually works!
The hotel has a comfortable sitting room, a library and a coffee shop.
It’s also a conference venue and I used these facilities. Everything was very well organised; sandwich lunches were full of variety and came with really good fresh fruit.
The atmosphere here is very welcoming, relaxed and calm, something I appreciated.
The gardens are extensive and perfect from a walk after dinner. There’s a path to the town of St Peter Port - easy going down the hill, quite tiring coming back!
I would definitely stay here again.

We were invited to a private luncheon for 85 guests. The format was buffet style 3-course so we jumped up and down, but the food was faultless and the service first-rate. Buffet first course was unlimited fish, shellfish, and salads, and the main course was a choice (or all) of roast joints as well as cooked salmon etc. And the puddings were delicious. All absolutely fabulous! What a super place. You can stay there very inexpensively and I understand the breakfast is wonderful too.

We walked from Candie Gardens to Les Cotils for a return visist. it is so very pretty and restful here. We had a few coffees at the café over looking the gardens. We wondered around the large gardens, were a member of our party remembered playing when he was a small child. Lots of things had changed but the essence of the place is still the same. Welcoming, relaxing and peaceful. It is a lovely place to stay and visit.

The glass conservatory attached to an elegant Victorian house serves morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon tea. Outside is a small veranda with stunning views of Herm, Jethou and Sark. Very popular with locals. If wanting lunch booking is recommended.
The Cotils is a Christian Centre set in peaceful surrounds.Peter m

I have been away for 4 months and the reception I received was amazing. As ever the hotel is spotlessly clean, service fabulous and food really good. It honestly felt like I had never been away. Yes there are more expensive hotels but in terms of welcome, location and cleanliness Les Cotils is fabulous. It is also great for families and my 11 and 13 year old love it! The team is amazing.

A great place anytime for a snack, lunch, afternoon tea or evening dinner. I enjoyed a very good Christmas dinner wth a large group of friends just before Christmas. Although the staff were very busy with other functions being served at the same time, we were made to feel special at all times with good, friendly and prompt service of an excellent and well presented meal.
