Although he no longer performs in America, Tommy can be heard playing in pubs and other venues throughout the Forest.

At his career height, Tommy Fallon reached number two in the country charts with 'Man From Tennessee' and enjoyed an extensive tour of the States as a guitarist and vocalist. Country music is a genre of American popular music that originated in the rural regions of the Southern United States in the 1920s.

Tommy was friends with Johnny Cash who is considered to be one of the greats of the country world and they were working on a retrospective album shortly before Johnny Cash's death in 2003. Mr Fallon said that 'Touring the USA was incredible. I've had an amazing time. But I love it down here. It is a great part of the world. It is the people that get me. Forest people are so friendly. We always get chatting when I'm walking up the High Street with my Jack Russell.'

His latest gig took place in Coleford, but he now wants to go one step further by forming a new Forest band. Tommy is looking for a bass player, a lead guitarist, a drummer, a fiddle player, even a banjo player and a female vocalist to join his new band with the aim of performing locally in venues such as pubs across the Forest of Dean.

Anyone interested in finding out more about joining the new band can get in touch with him by calling him on 01594 826082.
