Where to watch the Fleet Half Marathon
28th April 2018
... Comments

Here are some ideas of where to view the race which has been rescheduled to Sunday 29th April.

  • The race starts and finishes by Calthorpe Park with plenty going on and the Oatsheaf is well situated and is usually very busy, particularly after the race.
  • Along Fleet Road you'll get to see the runners twice.
  • Water stations are always a popular viewing area:
    • There's a water station along Elvetham Road just after the 2 mile mark.
    • The Barley Mow is between 9-10 miles - a point when most runners really need some support, particularly after several miles along quiet(ish) country lanes. Although Pale Lane and Pilcot Lane will be closed you can access The Barley Mow via Winchfield /Hartley Wintney with parking over the road from the pub by the Basingstoke Canal.
    • The next water station is by The Hart Leisure Centre on Hitches Lane.

If you're driving please respect the organisers' request not to block driveways or entrances.

Many roads are also closed so you may need to arrive early - and if you want to watch in central Fleet or attend the start or finish please use the town centre car parks.
