More ideas for the Half Term: Burn that energy!

Parks

  • We have some amazing parks in Fleet, which are all free to use, and can help burn some of that everlasting energy they have. Each of the parks have something different to offer, Basingbourne is near the woods, so you can have a fun time exploring nature and looking out for those mini beasts followed up with some fun in the play park, Zebon have 2 play parks, each cater for a different age group, if your little ones are after some aerial speed then Ancels have a zip wire they can whizz along on.  Eveltham Health has plenty to do too, with their play parks and nature reserve you also have wide cycle paths too.

50 Things to do

  • The National Trust once again are promoting their 50 Things to do before you're 11 3/4 - there are loads of things on this list you can do locally for free, click HERE for your free fun download.

Walks

  • Kids love to walk and run, and there are so many great places to let them walk, run and explore.
  • We are so lucky to have such great open spaces like Fleet Pond you will find a map on there too.  Another wonderful place to go walking is along theBasingstoke Canal, this gorgeous canal runs for 32 miles, from Greywell Village to Woodham in Surrey.
  • Why stop with the parks in Fleet, if you fancied going further out, you have FarnhamFarnborough and Aldershot and Camberley all have some amazing parks.Wellington Country Park have just opened their new splash pool area, and they have heaps to do there this half term, click HERE to find out what’s going on during the holidays.

Rainy Days

  • Fleet Library is always a good place to go when the weather isn't very nice.  I believe this year's Summer Reading challenge is 'Record Breakers' will post more details when we have them.
