Everyone Active, that operates in both the Hart and Frogmore Leisure Centres on behalf of Hart District Council, has been celebrating after taking home the headline accolade at a top industry awards night.

The ukactive and Matrix Flame Awards are the health and fitness sector’s largest celebration of innovation and excellence. Everyone Active scooped the most coveted award of the night, Operator of the Year, at a ceremony hosted on Wednesday evening (28 June) in Telford.

The accolade recognised Everyone Active’s high levels of performance across all aspects of operation. It is the fifth time the leisure operator has achieved the title, having won the award last year and on the three consecutive occasions in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Everyone Active’s leisure centre in Stratford-Upon- Avon also won the prestigious Leisure
Centre of the Year award in acknowledgement of its high-quality facilities and commitment to
improving health and wellbeing in the local community.

The achievements come as Everyone Active gears up to celebrate its 30 th birthday later this year. As the longest-established leisure operator in the UK, it has a wealth of experience working alongside local authority partners to deliver exceptional services and state-of- the-art facilities to communities across the country.

Managing director, David Bibby, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the
status of Operator of the Year for the fifth time. All of our colleagues from across the
company strive to give customers the best service and experience possible when visiting our sites, and I’m very proud that their hard work and dedication has been recognised by others in the sector.

“Everyone Active has expanded rapidly in recent years, and now manages more than 150
leisure facilities and cultural services across the country. As we grow, we are determined to bring top-class facilities to more communities and ensure we help as many people as possible to improve their health and wellbeing by getting active.

The Flame Awards recognise leisure centres, health clubs, group operators and individuals
that have demonstrated exceptional standards across all areas of the operation. An
estimated 800 guests from the health and fitness industry were at the event to watch
Everyone Active receive its accolades.

Cllr Sara Kinnell, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Environmental Promotion at Hart District
Council, said: “This is great news that Everyone Active has achieved this prestigious award for the fifth year in a row. Well done to the team and we’re grateful that this award-winning organisation is managing our two leisure centres on our behalf.”
