The Iconix™ rugby match shirt will once again be sported by Rob Baxter’s side in the Aviva Premiership and comes with a host of new features, including high performance 4D fabric for improved fit and comfort.

Worn around the world and boasting a sleek style for both players and supporters alike, the state-of-the-art shirt also includes bicep sculptured sleeves; tailored waist and droptail, as well as an integral GPS pouch.

As well as the official logos for both the Chiefs and Samurai Sportswear, all playing shirts will again carry the Exeter City crest, together with the branding of a number of the club’s major sponsors – SW Comms, Watson Fuels, Centrax, Flybe, MJ Baker and the Contract Hire Supermarket.

Rob Baxter, Head Coach of the Chiefs, said: “Since our promotion into the Aviva Premiership back in 2010, we’ve been delighted to have Samurai Sportswear working alongside us, supplying all of our playing kit and leisurewear.

“It’s a close relationship that has allowed us to pioneer not only new ideas together, but at the same time perform in kit and clothing range that we know truly delivers.”

Meanwhile, Samurai’s Sales Director Mike Humble was looking forward to seeing the supporters’ reactions, adding: “We are delighted with the new Chiefs home shirt, our design team have worked closely with the club to create a kit that will look great both on the pitch for the players, as well as on the terraces for the fans.”

“This is our sixth season of producing kits for Exeter and we are proud that this is one of the longest partnerships in the Aviva Premiership. The players will once again benefit from our advanced Iconix™ match shirts, engineered to increase circulation and improve muscle recovery with its exclusive body sculpted fabric.”

The Chiefs are set to wear the new home shirt for the first time during the upcoming West Country Challenge Cup when they play host to Gloucester in their opening game on Saturday, September 5 (3pm).

The away strip for the season remains the same design as that of last season, whilst a new-look Cup shirt will be paraded for the first time during the Singha Premiership 7s tournament, which takes place at Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium on Thursday, August 20.

Supporters will be able to get their hands on the new shirts shortly through the club’s official Trading Post and also online
