Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director at Devon Air Ambulance Trust, says “We are delighted that South West Water has chosen us to be a charity partner over the next few years. We can proudly say that South West Water’s grant is helping us to save lives in our community”.

South West Water’s Head of Communications Alan Hyde said “We already support the communities we serve in many different ways, from education and careers events through to community volunteering and working arrangements with charities such as the river and wildlife trusts, the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Age UK and the South West Lakes Trust.

“This year we asked staff to help us select charitable partners with a direct relevance to our business and our region. In the free choice section, staff voted overwhelmingly to support the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

“We are delighted to add Devon Air Ambulance to our family of community and charity partnerships.”

The company took part in this year’s Commando Challenge which benefits Devon Air Ambulance Trust and the Royal Marine Charitable Trust Fund and plans to continue fundraising efforts for DAAT as the partnership goes forward.

South West Water representatives Nick Smale, Lucy Cooper, Autumn Mogford-Abbott and Adam Rousell (pictured left to right) recently visited DAAT’s Exeter Airbase to see the operation first-hand and learn more about the service their funds are supporting.
