  • 8 High Street
    WR10 1BG
  • Thursday 4th December 7:30pm until 10:00pm
Celebrate winter’s darkest night with atmospheric music and seasonal words by Dylan Thomas, Dickens and more. Featuring Holst, Corelli, and Vivaldi, narrated by Sunny Ormonde, this event lights the way from darkness to hope and renewal.

Celebrate the darkest time of the year with an exquisite weave of atmospheric, seasonal music and winter words by Dylan Thomas, Laurie Lee, Charles Dickens, and more. The winter solstice represents a symbolic dividing line; that moment at the year’s end where old gives way to new, despair transforms into hope and darkness becomes light.

We will illuminate the night with a glorious offering of music, from Holst’s Midwinter and Corelli’s Christmas Concerto to Vivaldi’s iconic ‘Winter’ from The Four Seasons, interwoven with some of the finest seasonal poetry and prose, narrated by Sunny Ormonde, best known as ‘Lilian’ from The Archers.
