Exhibition on Screen Leonardo: The Works
  • Number 8 Community Arts Centre
    8 High Street
    WR10 1BG
  • Tuesday 29th October 7:00pm until 8:25pm
Exhibition on Screen focuses on Leonardo da Vinci in this definitive film, examining some of his most famous paintings and drawings and taking a fresh look at his life.

Leonardo da Vinci is acclaimed as the world’s favourite artist. Many television programmes and films have showcased this extraordinary genius but often not examined closely enough is his actual art. Leonardo’s paintings and drawings will be the focus as Exhibition on Screen presents every single attributed painting, in high quality on the big screen. Key works include The Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Lady with an Ermine, Ginevra de’ Benci, Madonna Litta, Virgin of the Rocks, and more than a dozen others.

This film also looks afresh at Leonardo’s life - his inventiveness, his sculptural skills, his military foresight and his political acumen - through the prism of his art. Directed by Phil Grabsky, this is the definitive film about Leonardo - the first to truly tell the whole story.
