Autumn Foraging Course
  • The Star,
    Elmley Road
    Ashton under Hill
    WR11 7SN
This course is a simple foraging walk where we hope to be able to identify a selection of edible and poisonous wild mushrooms, fruits and plants.

We’re coming back to Worcestershire for these foraging courses in the beautiful countryside around Ashton Under Hill.

We will meet at the Star Inn at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on how to forage safely and sustainably, and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.

We’ll then set off for a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the woods, hills, fields and hedgerows in the area discussing what we find. We will stop somewhere along the way for some wild food based refreshments such as fruit leathers or homemade Elderflower Champagne.

After the walk we will go back to The Star to discuss and taste our finds. Last year we picked enough gourmet mushrooms on the walks for everyone to enjoy a reasonable meal at the end.

There are limited spaces available so please book your place on our website here.
