Simply Stone Evesham Memorial’s

Simply Stone is a small, friendly company situated in a picturesque Market town of Evesham with a second branch in Tewkesbury. We pride ourselves on our commitment to provide a professional, helpful and sympathetic service to our customers, at what can be a difficult time. We offer a large range of quality memorials at very competitive prices to our many customers throughout the Vale of Evesham. Our many years of experience ensure that our staff are aware of the varying rules and regulations that the councils and church yards put in place.

All memorials can be tailor made to individual requirements, if you have seen a headstone that you like in another brochure, cemetery or churchyard, this may be used as a template for no additional cost. All you have to do is let us know just where you saw the memorial, the name that is on the stone and we will provide you with a quotation. We can hand carve unique memorial features on headstones, and other monumental sculptures based on religious themes, hobbies, favorite landscapes, pets or animals,

Having decided on the shape of the memorial, we will send you, without obligation, a proof of the inscription so that you can see how the words, and any design that you may wish to have, will appear when carved. We know that it can be difficult to get the words right the first time, so we are more than happy to re-proof the layout as many times as necessary.

It is obviously very important to have the details of the various costs and, therefore, a full quotation will be provided with the proof. As it takes approximately fourteen weeks to complete a bespoke memorial, we can if requested provide a commemorative wooden cross, chosen from our range on shown this can be placed on the grave as a simple reminder until the memorial is erected.

Memorials for Cemeteries

Restrictions and guide lines are set by the local councils. Restricting sizes and the use of full size kerb sets in certain cemeteries. These rules must be adhered to at all time. Also it is usual to use of natural, which includes most granite, never the less granite is the easiest to maintain and keep clean. It’s a hard and durable material and is not affected by the weather. Granite memorials can be supplied in various colours i.e.: Black, Grey, Greens, Blue and Red.

Ground settlement

It is standard practice in most Churchyards and Cemeteries that a Headstone cannot be fixed on a grave for up to a minimum of six months to allow for ground and grave settlement.

Cremation tablets or plaque

We are able to fix a memorial immediately after an internment in most Churchyards and Cemeteries; this also applies to cremated remains being interred in a full size grave, as no ground settlement is required

Memorials for Churchyards

Permission for Memorials has to be given by the incumbent in charge.

Chargeable fees in Cemetery and churchyard

The fixing of a memorial in either a churchyard or a cemetery will incur a fee, which can vary from place to place. We can advise on these costs, which are to be added to the cost of the memorial. Once a final decision has been made, we will deal with the administration on your behalf. We will provide a computer layout of the proposed inscription.
