I am on holiday from Australia to meet my daughter who lives in Epsom. She used to live in Madrid and we have shared many tapas meals, so after checking reviews and their menus she booked El Rincon. Imagine our surprise when they said there was no tapas as it was Valentine's day Saturday and they had a special menu only. Why didn't they say that when we booked? No mention on their website either.
That said at £32.50 for 3 courses and coffee the meal was good value for money. My starter was really a prawn cocktail with a couple of slices of smoked salmon. OK except there were only 4 small salad prawns. My main course of Steak Diane was average, the vegetables were good. My dessert of lemon cheesecake was very good.
The service was also very good.Guess we will have to go another time to try the tapas!

I've been to El Rincon a few times now and every time it has been an absolute pleasure. The staff are very attentive and have always helped me to find something new on the menu to try. If any of my friends ask me for a restaurant suggestion El Rincon is at the top of the list!

What an excellent welcome we had here at our first lunch. We look forward to coming back another time for paella as we were recommended to pre-order to avoid having to wait whilst it was being prepared. We had two courses, based on the set lunch choices, although they kindly offered me an alternative from the fresh fish that had just been delivered so I had a delicious monkfish with a lobster sauce and tiger prawns. Chris enjoyed his lambs kidneys. Our mains came with plenty of veg, we had 3 alcoholic drinks, a mixer and tea and coffee and the bill came to £25 per head.

I went here last week at the suggestion of a friend who visits regularly and she has high standards so I reckoned it would be good. There were 3 of us and we were fitted in at the last minute at the last table available on a Saturday evening. It was full of families and couples having a great time. the atmosphere was lovely.
The service is friendly and the staff are all very polite. the food was excellent. we all had 3 courses from the set menu and were all very happy with our choices.

We decided to change things up for my dad's 50th birthday celebrations and go for a Spanish cuisine. A couple of people had recommended this place to me, so I thought why not? I called the restaurant to book the meal for 12 people. I was greeted by a super helpful man on the phone. I could already tell this was going to be a good experience. He was very passionate about the food and making sure I knew all that they had to offer and that everything is ordered in fresh. He asked if it was a celebration and I explained that it was. He was very helpful and said if we want to bring in decorations before or bring in a cake we are more than welcome to. He called again nearer the time to make sure all was ok and ask if there's anything more he can do. On the day the food was really really good and authentic. The restaurant itself was lovely and the service was 5*. We will definitely be paying another visit, such food value for money.

Carlos, the waiter and Jose Antonio (known as Joe), the chef run a double act that is to die for. Carlos is the most charming and efficient of waiters who ran the tables with a skill and efficient to marvel at. Joe prepares the delicious food promptly, well cooked and beautifully presented. We have lived in the area for several years but only visited tonight. We will be regulars and with over 79,000 visitors to my reviews on Trip Adviser, I highly recommend the unsophisticated but brilliant restaurant.

Fantastic place.
Lovely staff.
Amazing food.
My folks and my kids eat here a fair bit. Having both full meals and sometimes tapas.
This is only my second visit and I plan to go a lot more.
If I could I would eat here every day.
My wife and I had seafood paella and it was stunning... and IMHO at £35 for two good value given how much good quality prawns etc there were in it. Perfectly cooked and a serving just the right size... my wife and I are big eaters and my three year old had a tiny bit and my 17 year old had a small bowl full on top of his lamb... but it was all we could do to eat it all. Perfect.
Finished with one of my favourites... so simple and light but so spot on... oranges in their own juice with whatever alcohol they add and cream.
I want to go again with my wife one evening and just have the paella again.
I am a big fan of Spanish food or rather Spanish cooking as I believe so much of what makes Spanish meal good is how they prepare and cook what they have. You could give a Greek, a French person, an English person or a Spaniard the same ingredients and the Spaniard would be the one so often to produce something simple, but perfect and light and just awesome and you would struggle to explain why it is so nice... it just is!
Anyway I'm rambling.
Go there...
