This illustrated talk by Diana Kay, the Chair of Friends of Stoneleigh Library, provides an overview of the fascinating history of Stoneleigh from the Roman era to the beginning of WW2. This includes the intriguing
story of Victorian entrepreneur John Jefferies Stone and his family, who, through the Stone Trust, were crucial in the design and development of Stoneleigh.
