Newland Antiques will be coming to Roots Coffee Shop, Epsom Methodist Church on Thursday, 14th October from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. following our successful Antiques Valuation Days over the last two years.
Newland Antiques have been organising Valuation Days for many years now, where you are invited to attend and get an assessment and valuation (a charge of £2 per item appraised is made to go to Epsom Medical Equipment Fund.)
Newland Antiques are particularly looking to buy watches, jewellery, gold and silver so do bring these items along. You might be pleasantly surprised. You can enjoy a coffee/tea and snack whilst you ponder whether or not to sell your antiques or other items or celebrate your sale. Gold is at an all-time high.
Epsom Medical Equipment Fund will also be holding a sale - FREE ENTRY – of knitted goods, hats, scarves, shawls, gloves, bedsocks, babywear, tea cosies
In addition there will be a sale of items for sale by Epsom Medical Equipment Fund including knitted items,
FREE ENTRY – AND
SALE OF KNITTED GOODS – HATS, SCARVES, SHAWLS, GLOVES, BEDSOCKS, BABYWEAR, TEA COSIES, ETC. IN AID OF
EPSOM MEDICAL EQUIPMENT FUND
The events are loosely based on the Antique Roadshow TV programme style, which gave rise to many similar programmes, where watching the surprise and delight of owners discovering the worth of items is of interest.
These programmes have made people more aware of potential value of their belonging, however the best method of actually realising the true cash value is not always made clear!
On our Valuation days you are invited to bring along your chosen items, our valuer will give you an appraisal (£2 per item to go towards Epsom Medical Equipment Fund) and a current estimation of value. We will then discuss your best course of action and either make an offer of purchase or provide advice on your other options.
There are many items that are not so obviously valuable and this is where the professional valuer’s expertise comes in.
There are times when the exposure of an auction is beneficial – let our experts help you to decide, but for many artefacts, where a known or intrinsic value can be simply assessed as Gold, are just not suited for sale at auction. Without advice, auctions can actually LOSE you money.
After weeks of waiting, and assuming your items sells – commission, charges, premiums and taxes reduce your likely share to only two thirds of the total transaction payment – for your property.
This is how we are able to offer you a high purchase figures as there’s no buyer’s premium for us to pay and NO STOPPAGES for you, just an immediate cash settlement.
