Welcome to Mindworks Surrey, the emotional wellbeing and mental health service for children and young people in Surrey.
We help and support children and young people in Surrey who are feeling very sad, worried, angry or upset. We help you to work out difficult thoughts and feelings and learn new skills so that you find it easier to deal with those feelings and have a happier life. We also help parents or carers to so that they can help you too.
We look at relationships in the family and encourage friendships at home and school. Mindworks Surrey can help if you:
A teacher, parent or your carer may notice that you are finding it difficult to cope with your feelings and situations such as finding school difficult or having lots of worries. They will ask for help and advice from us on how best to help you.
You may have come to this website from school, college or university, or maybe your GP has told you about us. If you or someone you know thinks you need some extra support then you are in the right place. We are here to help children and young people, like you, and their families to work out difficult thoughts and feelings and equip them with more skills so they can get on better with life.
.......................
Mindworks Surrey is the children and young people’s Emotional Wellbeing, Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Surrey.
It is delivered by a group made up of NHS, national and local voluntary sector organisations all working together.
We use an approach called THRIVE, where children and young people have a central voice in decisions about their care.
Children and young people have more choices about their options, and more opportunities to access a range of services.
We recognise children and young people do not want to always be seen in a clinic or a school setting, so advice and support are more visible and accessible in the local community, closer to home.
............
Requests for support for these services need to be done by a professional such as your GP, a teacher or social worker.
Some services you can request support for yourself directly and the others can be accessed by a request for support from a professional.
Requesting support for myself:
These services require a request for support by a professional:
We also work alongside Kooth, Catch 22, and Family Voice Surrey who all offer services that you can request yourself.
