A care home in Ely is welcoming the local community to its café to help people build new friendships.
Care UK’s Waterhouse Manor, on Soham Road, is inviting residents of Ely and surrounding areas to its Friendship Café as part of their permanent community hub at the home.
Every Wednesday, from 11am-12pm, local people are encouraged to visit the home’s café and enjoy hot drinks and homemade cakes in good company. The café is open to anyone who wishes to make new friends and chat with residents, team members and other community members in a relaxed environment.
Monika Gorna-Gal, Home Manager at Waterhouse Manor, said: “Here at Waterhouse Manor, we strive to have a positive impact on our community, and we believe that no one should feel alone.
“Building support systems is extremely important, and we are committed to helping local people understand the help and expertise available at our Friendship Café – a space where everyone can relax and enjoy themselves.
