Canadian comedy whirlwind Phil Nichol is heading back to Scotland with his brand-new show 'Trying My Best', bringing his trademark energy, musical madness and razor-sharp wit to Edinburgh this December.

The Perrier Award-winning comedian will perform at The Stand in Edinburgh on Tuesday, the 9th of December, as part of his first UK tour in seven years.

Trying My Best is a joyful, chaotic celebration of Nichol’s finest stand-up and musical moments. Expect madcap routines, heartfelt tales and a few of his infamous songs, including fan favourites like 'The Only Gay Eskimo' and 'You Can’t Say That To Me'. His shows are known for their infectious energy, quick-fire crowd work and an unpredictability that keeps audiences roaring with laughter from start to finish.

After years of performing around the world and starring in everything from West End musicals to cult TV comedies like Catastrophe and Man Down, Phil’s return to the stage promises a night packed with fun, warmth and a healthy dose of mischief. His unique blend of storytelling, character work and original music has made him one of the most entertaining performers to emerge from the Edinburgh Fringe, where he’s written and performed 23 sold-out solo shows.

Fans can catch him in Edinburgh for an unmissable night that promise to showcase why Nichol remains one of the most electrifying comics on the circuit. Tickets for Edinburgh can be found at thestand.co.uk/performance/20286.

So if you fancy a night of laughter, songs and a touch of glorious chaos, make sure to catch Phil Nichol as he truly gives it his all – or as he likes to say, just keeps trying his best.
