On Wednesday 15th July from 2pm–3pm, Care UK’s Lauder Lodge in Portobello is opening its doors to the public as it launches its monthly Gentlemen’s Club – a dedicated social space to bring the home’s male residents together.
The club, which takes place on the third Wednesday of the month, from 2pm–3pm, has been set up to provide a welcoming environment where members can connect through shared interests, conversation and activities, helping to improve wellbeing and encourage lasting connections.
The free event offers a chance for locals to get together and swap stories over a cup of tea. Guests are also invited to take part in activities designed around their interests, such as dominos and card games, all in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Anees Riaz, Home Manager at the Wakefield Avenue home, said: “We are super excited to be welcoming the community to the launch of our Gentlemen’s Club. The sessions will offer a fantastic opportunity for our male residents to bond over common interests and create new friendships.
