Week two preview

Both of our sides are in action this week, and after last weeks mixed bag of results, the club are looking to secure two wins this weekend.

Our MSFL team are in cup action and face division four counterparts AFC Hurst in the league cup. Hurst beat neighbours Polegtate Town II 3-2 (with Lewis Taylor scoring two of their three goals) in their league opener last weekend and will no doubt be looking to claim back to back victories in Eastbourne this weekend. Our MSFL team put in a timid display against a good Jarvis Brook II outfit which saw them on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline with Josh Kyte netting a late consultation for the red and blacks. This game is a 1.30pm kick off at the sports park (grass).

Our ESFL team are looking to add to the three points they secured at JC Tackleway last week by overturning Wadhurst United. The two sides last met two seasons ago which saw a share the spoils in Eastbourne, while in the return fixture, Wadhurst broke rangers hearts with a late winner to claim all three points. Rangers put in an excellent performance on the opening day of the 2015/16 campaign and came away with a well deserved 5-2 victory with goals from Ben Jesson, Jamie Strong, Connor Sullivan and two goals from MOM Dan Wilkes. Wadhurst did not have a fixture in week one and they will almost certainly be looking to make a statement this weekend in what will be their first competitive game of the season. This game is a 3pm kick off on the sports park 3G.

Good luck to both teams....
