Join us for an informative foraging walk where we will ID the various plants and mushrooms we find. Enjoy a homemade refreshment along the way and a light Wild Food lunch with us afterwards.
Set in the heart of Doveridge, a pleasant little village on the outskirts of Uttoxeter, this exciting new venue is within easy reach of Derby, Burton-on-Trent, Stoke-on-Trent, Ashbourne and Stafford.
We will meet at the Cavendish Arms, the course starts with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes, where they relate to foragers. Drinks are available from the pub.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the village, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find.
We will stop along the way for some homemade refreshments such as our lovely wild food soup or elderflower champagne.
After the walk we will head back to the pub for a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found. This will include some treats made from our recent finds and a wild salad that we will pick on the day.
After the course we will email you a list of everything we talk about on the day to help you remember what you have learnt. There are limited spaces available so please book your tickets online.
