The festival will be the biggest one to date with a truly amazing range of shows, activities, music, games, sports, and crafts to try. There will be something for everyone to enjoy with guaranteed fun for all.
The shows seek to thrill and enthral all audiences from the very young to old alike. From the ever popular bike stunt display shows performed by Urban Displays, to the Applause Touring stunning sea-themed theatrical shows: Aquanauts Adrift (Enter Edem) and Caspian's Storm (LAStheatre). Plus we are so pleased to welcome back the hugely talented dancers from The Dean Academy of Performing Arts.
We are delighted that returning this year are long term favourites and friends: Kent Kite Flyers, Circus Sensible, Junk Orchestra, plus in 2025 we have not one but TWO brilliant face-painters who are waiting to create their magical designs for us Anna's Face Candy and Bizzie Lizzie's Face Painting.
Our heartfelt thanks go to our local festival partners who contribute so much to the local community and will all help to ensure this festival is a truly wonderful community event:
Deal & Betteshanger Youth Rugby who will be organising drills, games and possibly even a bit of fitness training too!
RNLI Walmer Lifeboat who are back with more pebble painting fun, games, and seaside safety advice.
Deal Pirates will be adding to the fun with some family games – you won’t want to miss this group of pirates on the green!
The wellbeing team at Walmer Castle & Gardens have some more fabulous craft activities lined up - remember the bug hotels from last year?
The Goodwin Sands Trust's very own storyteller will be regaling audiences with shipwreck tales along with a sea-shanty (or two) to entertain us.
The Deal Community Carnival Association Carnival Court will be in attendance and joining in with the fun throughout the afternoon no doubt! Come and meet the 2025 Carnival Queens and Princesses.
We are also lucky to have many of our local emergency services teams coming along too, from Deal HM Coastguard, Deal First Responders, and Kent Police Cadets to Dover District Council's Community Roots Van and more!
NEW For 2025 we will have a designated picnic area set up so bring a family picnic, buy some snacks at the on-site catering vendors, or stop by one of our friendly and welcoming Walmer food & drink traders.
Walmer Green will be the place to be on Saturday afternoon 5th July 25!
