Join the Downsview Players this festive season as they head to London with Dick Whittington and his band of friends to try and stop the evil King Rat!

The wicked King Rat has plans for world domination, starting with London. He means to become Lord Mayor and unleash his plague of ravenous rats upon the city. The villain learns that only one can stop his vicious scheme: Dick Whittington, who is on his way from Gloucester to seek his fortune in the capital. The charming hero Whittington, with the help of the town folk, the Fairy and, of course, his beloved cat, takes it upon himself to stop the evil King Rat in a tale of love, wonder, magic and drama!

Special relaxed performance Saturday 23rd Nov

On Saturday 23rd November at 2pm (doors open 1.15pm) there will be a special 'relaxed' matinee performance for adults and children with learning disabilities and/or autism together with their families and carers.

Tickets: £5 for those with disabilities (adult or child), with one carer receiving a free ticket.

Additional adults: (£9) and children (£5) may attend within the same family or group.

There will be no loud bangs or pyrotechnics during the relaxed performance, and music will be played at a lower volume. The auditorium will retain low-level lighting throughout the performance, and there will be a separate 'quiet room' where audience members can take a break if they wish. Wheelchair space and a hearing loop are provided for all our performances.

The relaxed performance is a new venture for the Downsview Players and has been made possible by a Community Grant from Croydon Council.
