Nantwich Jazz Blues & Music Festival

 

You are in for a weekend of the best live music, from solo performers and bands in a variety of participating pubs and venues to headline acts at Nantwich Civic Hall and The Crown Hotel.

 

Gregory's will be hosting "Greg's for Grownups" during Saturday and Sunday of the festival with bands playing during the afternoon 'til early evening on 2 stages. Nantwich Football Club will have live music from 1pm until midnight on the Sunday. Admission to all these events will be covered by the festival wristband.

At The Civic on Thursday 21st with Thea Gilmore supported byMarcus Bonfanti. On Good Friday (22nd) The Marmalade and The Equals bring the 60′s to Nantwich and on Saturday 23rd fast forwards to the 80′s with China Crisis and Ex Simple Minds taking the stage. Easter Sunday (24th April) has Alvin Stardust and his Rock and Roll show "tearin' up the joint" along with Local Elvis TributePaul Larcombe accompanied by The Passionettes. There are 2 shows on Easter Monday with the ever popular Nearly Dan (playing by popular demand) in the afternoon (1:45pm-4pm) and Paul Joneswith the amazing Blues Band in the evening.

The Crown Hotel welcomes back Connie Lush and her powerhouse blues style and Ian Parker playing a solo acoustic set on Friday 22nd and the supremos of swing and soul, Zoot Serious & a Bellyful of Bopwill be playing on Saturday 23rd.

The Crown will also be running the Sunday and Monday daytime music sessions which have proved so popular in previous years. Admission to these is by festival wristband.

Other local hostelries will be providing the usual programme entertainment throughout the festival with wristband admission and a free gig on Nantwich Square on Easter Saturday, sponsored by Broxap and Nantwich and East Cheshire Councils will be King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys. The fun starts at 12noon and local Ceroc dance group will be joining in the dancing.

 

Wristbands are £5.00 and are valid for all participating venues on all festival days. They are available fromThe Crown Hotel, Nantwich Civic Hall and The Tourist Information Centre.
