When children arrive with their mums to the safe space of our women’s refuge they have often left home in a hurry.
They arrive only in the clothes they are wearing – without a chance to say goodbye, they’ve left everything behind including their friends, schools, pets and toys.
Children that have experienced domestic abuse need their own support.
We have a dedicated team to support children and young people and we strive to let the general public know about these forgotten victims of domestic abuse.
Domestic abuse can have devastating and long term consequences for children.
Together we can support them to feel positive about a safe future".
