Celebrations at Headquarters Training Academy
More than 100 guests turned up to celebrate with business partners Helen Douglas and Jude Leytham to the opening of the Headquarters Hair Academy in Crewe.
Over £100,000 has been invested in the Victorian building on Nantwich Road which now includes modern classrooms, a colouring room and a barbers on the first floor and a fully working Salon on the ground floor which is open to the public from Wednesday through to Saturday each week.
The renowned Chris Foster, of the highly acclaimed Foss Academy in London, who will be heading up the male grooming training, performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony, see picture below.
The academy, has created five new jobs, and will be offering training in hair cutting, styling & colouring techniques as well as male grooming and barbering.
There are also courses available for people 25-plus, extra training for stylists working in existing salons and Helen has also gained Government funding to train jobless under 24s.
Helen said “The Academy fills the gap between training and employment, providing real-world experience for candidates so that they can excel within the hairdressing industry.”
