Father’s Day this year marked the launch of ‘Feel Good Family Sundays’ at KidZania London, the indoor city run by kids, in partnership with Heart Radio. New national research revealed that parents in London and the West Midlands spend the least quality time of all with their children at just 2 hours and 26 minutes per week. The average UK family spends an average of just 3 hours of quality time together per week – a mere 43 minutes per day. The main factors impacting on family time are work commitments (47%), busy family lives (41%) and money concerns (40%). In response, KidZania London, which commissioned the research, has teamed up with Heart for ‘Feel Good Family Sundays’ at the popular family attraction in Westfield London, Shepherd’s Bush, to encourage families to take part in more fun activities together as a family. Whilst usually, children are encouraged to take part in activities independently of their parents while visiting KidZania, the new Heart Feel Good Family Sundays initiative will allow parents to join in with the different jobs in and around the city, in a bid to encourage families to spend more meaningful quality time together. The initiative kicked off on Sunday 17th June, and will take place every Sunday.
