The festival of craft will run in our gallery for seven weeks (29th May - 12th July) with each week having a different theme:
Week 1: Young People
Week 2: Traditional/Local Crafts
Week 3: New Brewery Hearts (Fundraising week)
Week 4: Craftivism
Week 5: Make, Learn, Shop
Week 6: Professional Development
Week 7: Sustainability
The packed schedule will include a series of talks, workshops, drop-ins, fairs all held in our beautiful gallery space at the heart of our building – the former Cirencester Brewery site.
We look forward to welcoming a broad range of speakers, including Let’s Make Art, Sarah Corbett (author Craftivism), Yeshen Venema (Photographer), Holly von Bock (Slow Love founder), Nick Hunt (CEO Cotswold Lakes Brew Co.) and many more.
A highlight of the event will be a silent disco fundraiser – ticket £10 for adults (Friday 13th June) and a second family event (£6 per child and includes one adult) for under 18s (Saturday 14th June) where all proceeds will go towards New Brewery Hearts, our scheme to help those in our community who may be struggling to access the health and wellbeing benefits of craft.
New Brewery Arts CEO Beth Alden says: “We are very excited to announce that we will again be holding our biannual Craftival event here at New Brewery Arts. This is our chance to bring together all our different communities and showcase the many facetted aspects of craft here in the UK. The schedule has something for everyone from five-year-olds upwards.
“Our New Brewery Hearts week, in particular, will be a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of our brilliant local charity partners as well as raise money for our New Brewery Hearts scheme, which provides access to craft to those in our community who may be struggling.
“We invite you, our community, to come down to our beautiful gallery to enjoy the events.”
New Brewery Arts is excited to partner with COG, Heritage Crafts, The Cirencester WorkBench, Repair Cafe, Cirencester Clothes Swap and People, Planet Pasty for Craftival 2025. The full Craftival schedule is now live.
