Building a Stronger, Healthier Community

Based at Victory Park in the heart of Chorley, Chorley FC Community Foundation is more than just football. It’s about creating opportunities for everyone to belong, no matter their background, ability, or age. The charity’s mission is simple: to use the influence of football to improve physical and mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and promote social inclusion across the borough.

Their dedicated team runs weekly sessions and outreach projects designed to encourage participation, build confidence, and strengthen local connections. Led by UK-based leadership and supported by Chorley FC, the foundation has grown into a trusted community hub where sport meets purpose.

Programmes That Make a Difference

Whether it’s giving older adults a reason to get out and move, or supporting men to open up about mental health, Chorley FC Community Foundation runs a wide range of initiatives with impact at their core.

Some of their most popular projects include:

  • Walking Football – low-impact, friendly sessions for over 50s at Inspire Youth Zone and Clayton Green Sports Centre.
  • Blokes United – informal football and chat sessions helping men tackle loneliness and build friendships.
  • Andy’s Man Club – free peer-to-peer support group for men, held every Monday evening at Victory Park.
  • Chorley Community Friendship Group – a dementia-friendly social group offering conversation, games, and connection.
  • Veterans’ Project – breakfast clubs and social events for ex-servicemen and women.
  • School Coaching & Holiday Camps – fun, affordable football sessions and tournaments for children and young people.

Accessible, Affordable and Welcoming

Sessions are either free or low-cost, often around £3 per session, making it easy for everyone to take part. The foundation also partners with local schools, Chorley Council, Inspire Youth Zone, and the National League Trust to extend its reach and ensure projects remain sustainable and inclusive.

Every initiative is delivered with care, compassion, and community spirit at its heart. Whether you’re looking to get active, meet new people, or simply be part of something positive, Chorley FC Community Foundation offers a warm welcome and a place for everyone.
